Our dear, dear friends,

On December 3 (2024), the "Şefik Can Children's Library" built by Şefik Can International Mevlana Education and Culture Foundation for the World Day of Persons with Disabilities at Metin Sabancı (Cerabral Palsy) Special Education Schools of Spastic Children's Foundation of Turkey was opened by the Governor of Istanbul. Mr. Davut Gül, Governor of Istanbul, Mr. Serap Özmen Çetin, Deputy Governor of Istanbul Mr. Serap Özmen Çetin, Sancaktepe District Governor Mr. Mr. Naif Yavuz, Istanbul Provincial Director of Family and Social Services Ömer Turan, Founding Director Emel Alanyalıoğlu and our Foundation President H. Under the guidance of our President H. In particular, yoga, meditation, various meditative exercises accompanied by music, painting, various jewelry and art works for their mental and physical development are tried to be beneficial to our children with Cerebral Palsy.

On the occasion of the program, a painting made by our children with Cerebral Palsy was presented to our Foundation President H. Nur Artıran by Founding Director Emel Alanyalıoğlu as a precious memento.

We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Founding Director Emel Alanyalıoğlu for their support in the creation of this meaningful library that will keep the cherished memory of our Grandfather Şefik Can alive; to our disabled brothers and sisters who performed beautifully in the World Disability Day Program; to Prof. Mim Kemal Öke and Ms. Oya Ayan for their unique compassion and support as the "Wounded Gazelles Club"; and especially to the members of the Compassion Club of the Şefik Can Foundation, who have made a great material and moral effort and effort in the creation of this precious library.
