Dear Dear Dear Friends,
On June 20, 1951, on a Ramadan day, Tâhirü'l-Mevlevî Hazretleri, who passed away on the 74th anniversary of his passing, was commemorated with mercy, gratitude and thanksgiving at his grave in the khusmân adjacent to the Yenikapı Mevlevîhân in Istanbul, with a group of our foundation members and friends of the heart, under the leadership of H. Nur Artıran, President of Şefik Can International Mevlevî Education and Culture Foundation.
After the prayers recited at the tomb, the Semâhâne- mausoleum section of Yenikapı Mevlevîhânesi, where Mevlevî greats are buried, was also visited. On the occasion of this blessing, we also stood in the presence of Mehmed Celâleddin Dede, the sheikh of Tâhirü'l-Mevlevî Hazretleri, and the sainted souls of the greats of this path of wisdom.
Even in his sickbed, His Holiness Tâhirü'l-Mevlevî used to take his book in his hand and endeavor to complete a service as much as he could. His every occupation was like a legacy left not only for his own time but also for future generations.
We pray that we may be able to walk in the footsteps of this high ethics and service understanding; not only to remember this legacy, but also to understand, live, and keep it alive and to be in constant effort and service for this cause.
With the hope that the sainted souls of His Holiness Tâhirü'l-Mevlevî and all the friends of Hakk will be pleased with us; we wish that our humble Fâtiha and du'a will be acceptable in the dervish sanctuary.
