Allah Almighty said: "We have painted the flowers without paints or brushes, and We have given them fragrances." "All the secrets of the earth are revealed in the Spring season. Those who died in winter have been resurrected. Those who deny the Resurrection are no longer respected."
Prophet Mevlana
We have left behind the birds singing in different maqams, the colorful and diverse flowers, the warm sunny days, the cold winter days that are the secret heralds of the resurrection of nature, and the snowflakes falling thick and fast. Now, with the new buds opening in our heart's garden, we are experiencing the excitement of reunion and enjoying the spring with great hopes. While thinking about what we will do in the hot summer days, we are also dreaming of various vacations.
The excitement and joy of the revived nature creates a different enthusiasm and joy of life in the souls of human beings, who are the most important part of the universe. Everyone strives to experience the excitement and joy of spring, which is a handful of divine wheat in the mill of this world, in the depths of their souls, in the best way possible within their own understanding and realization.
Every year, as the cold winter days say goodbye and Spring welcomes us with great joy, various warning publications begin in the visual and written media. Our esteemed experts tell us at length about the great effects of the spring season on human psychology, the importance of this issue and the issues to be considered. They try to guide our food, drinks, clothes and all our human emotions in the best way possible.
It is of course impossible to disagree with these warnings and not take the arrival of spring seriously. Hz. Mevlânâ, who watched this resurrection in the spring, which most of us accept as a normal seasonal change, with his heart's eye and saw the truth of every particle that came to life, and heard the divine voices coming from them and was caught up in a great excitement. With this divine enthusiasm, Mevlânâ explained the divine secrets hidden in the spring season in Mesnevi and Divân-ı Kebir; by singing more than fifty ghazals about spring in Dîvân-ı Kebir, he showed us the ways of experiencing the spring of our hearts and souls in the true sense in the clearest way.
Our Hz.Pir warned us with his usual divine enthusiasm to be more sensitive to spring, the queen of the seasons, to look at the resurrection of nature with a little bit of meaning, and not to forget that every greening creature brings us news from the beloved. In his Dîvân-ı Kebîr and Masnavi, he portrayed every spring branch adorned with flowers as a friend bringing news from the beloved, and presented the news that this precious friend brings from that unique beloved as a ledunni wine in the form of a divine bundle of poetry.
According to Hz.Pir, everything created is alive and invites human beings to the Truth with their own language. In the spring season, this invitation is made very clearly and openly in a way that everyone can understand and see. Every creature that raises its head from the soil in spring opens the doors of the paths to the Truth to the whole human world without any discrimination and tells them the secrets of the places they come from, full of wisdom. In various couplets in the Dîvân-ı Kebir and Masnavi, our Prophet said the following on the subject:
"The soil is safe, whatever you sow in it will not be treacherous and you will reap more than what you sow, but the soil will never reveal its secrets unless the spring season brings a decree from Allah Almighty" [1]
Previously, you were complaining that "Winter has come and the leaves have fallen. Now get up and come to the rose garden! See how winter is defeated by the coming of spring, how it runs away! Hear the sound of drums in the thunder! Those voices want to say, "The world is having a wedding; the vineyards and gardens are preparing a dowry. Come, come and see the assembly of the Sultan; see how the earth rejoices and laughs!"[2]
"Last year the beauties of green, roses, basil, dahlias, daisies, carnations and countless other flowers that had disappeared due to the fear of the winter season were resurrected as if the apocalypse had come to an end. This year they all came back a hundred times more beautiful and fragrant. The rose-faced beauties came from beyond, from the world of nothingness, playing and playing. The sky was pleased with this arrival, so it sprinkled stars at their feet." [3] "When the spring season comes and everything comes to life again, my heart sees every branch decorated with flowers as a friend who brings news from the secret beloved, so it seeks the vûslat of my beloved and runs towards my beloved." [4] "With the air of love brought by spring, many snakes become friends with each other, and the rose makes peace with the thorn and becomes friends. Allâh's grace and bestowal decorates the garden with roses and flowers and turns it into a magnificent sultan. At every moment a fragrance comes from the garden like a messenger, calling out, "What are you waiting for; Spring has come; call your friends to the garden!" The garden inwardly drags its own secret, its own hidden power; it walks, goes, travels and says to you: "O human being! Find what is hidden in you, find what is hidden in you, make your way towards it, and you too will come to life, your life too will come to life." The secret of every sapling rises up from the soil and ascends. The trees that ascend to the heavens, that grow tall, as if they have set up stairs in the gardens that reach to the heavens. They too are invited to the resurrection, so that those who are sensitive and faithful will not be dragged to the ground, but will ascend to the heavens." [5]
The vineyards and gardens were yellow and withered with the longing of spring "The joyful Spring, coming as a friendly messenger, has made us very happy with its arrival; we cannot stand still; we are unstable, we are ecstatic, we are in love, we are drunk! O eye; O beacon of the heart! Do not wait any longer for the beauties of the meadow, the green beauties you have been longing for; they have all come. Come on; go out to the garden to see them! Go out to the gardens, go out to the meadows; strange people you do not know from the unseen world have come and landed in the gardens. It is customary to welcome them, to say "Welcome!", to ask their regards! Don't you see, the rose has brought fragrances from beyond, beautiful colors. And the garden wants to celebrate the arrival of the rose! The thorn is decorated and beautified to watch the face of its smiling master with whom it will live. It is as if the apocalypse has come and those who rotted away in December last year, those who froze and died in January, have come back to life with the arrival of the blessed spring. The fruit-bearing branches are not coy with joy, for they bring gifts from beyond that are beneficial to living beings! Roots without fruit are ashamed of coming empty-handed and hide behind the leaves. Just as it is like this in the material world, the trees of life are like this in the spiritual world. The good tree, the fruitful tree, becomes evident, comes to light, bears spiritual fruits. And the bad tree remains unproductive, unfortunate, miserable" [6]
It is time to open your eyes and see what is happening. "Winter has completed its task and passed away. Spring came. The earth became green. Everyone is in a cheerful mood. Come, my beloved; it is time to walk among the tulips. Look at the trees; they are all disheveled like drunks, all shaking their heads! The morning breeze has cast an incantation and the rose bushes have become restless, they have started to play with joy! The lotus said to the jasmine, "Watch this writhing." And the flowers said to the greenery, "Allah's grace and bounty has come, everything is decorated and beautified." The violet, hearing the daffodil's words, "The time has come for us to take an example!" by blinking its eyes, gave its heart to Allah like hyacinth and prostrated itself with the excitement of that feeling. Everywhere became so beautiful with spring that it was as if a great painter, who had no equal, took the brush in his hand and painted the beauties of the mountain, the plain, the vineyard and the garden. He displayed them one by one before the eyes of the unwary. My soul is also enraptured by the light of the unique painter who made these beautiful paintings, who created these masterpiece paintings. Like the other beings in the gardens, the willow, enraptured by the divine power, shook its head in ecstasy, and wondered what it said about the unique, great Creator who resurrected the world. I wonder what the tall cypress saw, and with this vision, it grew taller and taller and taller." [7]
Spring came smiling with a basket of flowers in her hand "The rose, which gave joy to the garden, cleaned her face and cheek from dust and dirt, tore her shirt and was laughing and patient with the pain and sorrow caused by the thorns! It was as if it wanted to say: "O son of man: Look at me; look at me and take me as an example and be like me!" [8] "In appearance, the rose and the thorn are contrary to each other. But this contradiction belongs to the two seeing eyes. In fact, there is no contradiction. They are all the produce of His garden. When the rose garden saw the eye that saw the thorn and the rose separately, it was surprised and laughed a lot at this duality." [9]
When the rose opens, it says to you: "Why should I grieve because I am in the company of the thorn? Why should I let myself grieve? After all, I gained my laughter because I endured the company of that malign thorn, I gained my beauty because of it. Look carefully and see that even if you pluck my leaves one by one, I will still not stop laughing. And the color of my leaves will not fade" [10] With the arrival of spring, "The rose, lifting its head from the ground with smiling joy, calls out: "Patience is the key to refreshment". Every branch that blossoms in spring: "No difficulty! Look, I have been patient, I have come to your presence with fruits as pleasant as pearls." [11] "When there was no painter in sight, when the woman who adorns the brides was nowhere to be seen, where did the rose get its beautiful color, its fragrance, so that it began to shine brightly and to smile from the veil of secrecy?" [12] "Actually, Allah Almighty said something secretly to the rose and made it laugh a lot. Did He say something only to the rose? He also said something to my heart and made my heart hundreds of times more laughing and joyful than the rose."[13]
In the spring season, "The roses were commanded to "pour out the hidden secrets within you, reveal whatever belongs to the love of Hakk in your heart! It is not right to keep your feelings inside you in this spring season." When the bird of life said, "Yâ Hû", the dove began to say, "Kû, Kû; where is he, where is he? You could not even smell his scent, you were left with the share of waiting!" Meanwhile, the sycamore tree in the garden turned its face towards the grape and said, "O grape, always prostrate on the ground! Find strength in yourself, stand up and look around; everything has been reborn! The world has been decorated and beautified like brides! Your eyes do not see anything." The grape said, "I did not prostrate myself voluntarily; He is making me prostrate." The apple, thinking itself to be something, started a lawsuit: "I have a good opinion of Allah Almighty; He creates everything in its place and beautifully," so Allah Almighty wanted to test the apple to see if it keeps its word, endures the torments, and is patient with the calamities from Allah. So everyone started stoning him, pelting him with stones. And if the person who is stoned like an apple and has troubles happen to him, if he is a virtuous person who is truly devoted to the Truth, he laughs and rejoices, let alone complains about the stones thrown. Because those stones come from the sultan of sultans." [14]
Friends, let's all ask for the apple in the garden. "Let's go to the cypress trees. Let us wake up our slumbering fortune lying on its face like the lover's fortune. As the grass strangers in the garden run without feet by resorting to a trick, let us go to the land of those strangers with both our feet tied and stepping. The name of the soul that rebels from the earthen body, that is freed, is "Revan" which means "flowing, walking away". Let us hold the soul with its knees tied and take it to the place where they land in their range. O leaf, of course you found the strength to break through the branch, what did you do to get out of the prison? Tell us, tell us, and we will do what you did to get out of the prison of the body. O cypress, you have raised your head from the ground, you have been exalted. What course did your Creator show you? Let us know so that we can watch it too. O rosebud, you came out in the color of the rose, befriended the thorn and came here by passing out. But how did you come here? Tell us so that we can do what you have done. Where did your lovely white anber color and smell come from? From which neighborhood does that smell of anber come from? Show us where the door of this house is, so we can serve that door. Let us be the servant and slave of that door. O nightingale! They took pity on your cry and rushed to your rescue. Let me be a servant and slave to your cry. You are joyful because of the rose. How can I be grateful for this favor? O human being, come to your senses and hear the various secrets coming from the rose garden! Hear the truths spoken without letters, without sound! O nightingale, if I can understand the tale of love that you tell me, then give your reed a different order, and enchant me in a different way with your beautiful sounds." [15]
"Ah, where is the rose garden? Where is the nose to smell the scent of love from the roses in the rose garden, and the ear to hear those words?"[16] "Take out the cotton of heedlessness from your ear. Listen to the conversations of those in the garden! Hear the sounds coming from the tulips very close to you and from the mountains far away."[17]
"But you cannot see the leaves fluttering, you cannot hear their sounds of joy, their chanting, their prayer beads; to hear them you need the ear of the heart, the ear of the soul, not the ear of the head. Come to your senses and plug your head ear with lies and useless words; plug it and you will see the city of life enlightened. Because the blessed ear of Prophet Muhammad heard the secret of all the sounds and words in the world, Allah Almighty called that unique being "the very ear" in the Qur'ân. That saintly Prophet is the ear and the eye from head to toe." [18]
"When the spring season came swaying like a peacock with thousands of colors on its wings, it decorated and beautified everything like a bride. When I asked "Spring", "Where did you come from?" she replied, "I came from beyond, from her garden of beauty. Then he said to me: "I have brought wine, I have brought flowers, I have brought medicines and pastes for the healing of the sick." [19]
"This joyful arrival of spring has begun to spread mercies and healings. The ornamental flowers began to shine brightly like Ali's Zulfikar. Every particle of the earth was conceived from the sky. The nine months were over, so they all began to writhe in indecision. The pomegranate blossom was filled with knots. It became layered. The creek was armored with small waves made by the wind. The plain was covered with violets. The mountain was decorated with tulips. The flowers opened their lips because it was time to kiss. They started to smile. The cypresses opened their arms to embrace each other. The sky is like a rose garden decorated with stars. But when that heart saw the rose garden, it covered its face with clouds and was very ashamed of the heart. The thorn was begging day and night, "O God who covers the shame of the people." His prayer was accepted and he became a rose. From a thorn, she became a rose-cheeked, fragrant belle. "Those who died in winter have been resurrected. Those who deny the Resurrection are no longer respected." Allah's grace that spares lives helped and "Ashâb-ı Kehf of the garden woke up from sleep. O trees, herbs and flowers that have risen from the dead! Where were you in the winter season? Were you not where the souls go in your sleep? You were in the place where emotions fly away every night, in the place that is seen and watched in dreams every night, in the place where you are expected to arrive. These five visible emotions and five invisible emotions go to that realm every night, dragging their feet in a weary, tired, melancholy, depressed state, and at dawn they come running back to this realm, revitalized." [20]
"Spring, whose heart is filled with love and compassion so that vineyards and gardens may be adorned with flowers and birds may take wings and fly, comes from beyond, swaying like a coy bride. Despite the stubbornness of the blind who cannot see the beauties in His creations and the deaf of heart who cannot hear His words, the beloved, who hides Himself in the beauties of spring, manifests Himself in various beauties in order to amaze people and add life to souls."[21]
Rejoice, rejoice, laugh, have fun, the veil of spring has opened and the lovely beloved has shown her face " The misery of the vineyard and the garden has passed away. The roses with beautiful faces are not going towards the thorns. It is not in vain that the lover sings and whines, "Alas!" Here is the army of vuslat on its way, coming to find a remedy for those "Alas". Do not hesitate, say it openly, when the desires of this body run away like autumn, the attributes of Hakk, which are like spring, come. O you, the wretches of the garden of the body, autumn had blocked your way, had taken all you had. The sultan of spring is on his way to bestow blessings, to give you back what you have given away. [22]
"In fact, spring is the breaking out of the apocalypse in the vineyards and gardens; it is the revelation of the secrets hidden in the soil, its revelation. It is when the beauties of China show their hearts. Every branch that grows on the earth says to us in a secret language: "If you are human, if you have a heart, show it! For how long will your heart, your humanity, be hidden in the clay of this body?" The prayer of the vineyards and gardens in the winter season is: "O Allah! We worship only You!" In the spring, it is the supplication, "We seek help only from You." "We have come to ask for something, to ask for grace by saying, "O Allah, only You do we worship!" Do not make us wait any longer in the cold winter days, in the haze! Open the door to pleasure and joy and vitality!... His saying, "O Allah, we ask for help only from You!" means, "My branches will break due to the abundance and weight of the fruits! O Allah, the One whose help is sought, the One who helps, protect me!" "[23] "Every uprising tree and leaf that grows from the ground says: "Hajji, you will reap only what you sow." [24]
"If the spikes did not grow in the gardens of Allah's earth and the clusters did not flourish, could it be said that Allah's earth is vast! Since even this earth, which is mortal and transient, does not cease to yield various crops and fruits, how can the spiritual world, which is much wider than the earth, not yield crops? The crops of the soil of this world are incalculable. Even one grain has at least seven hundred crops. Pay attention to this and you will know how much the crop will be on the other side." [25]
"O heart; watch this Spring! This state is indeed a doomsday! Whatever has been sown all year, good and bad, in the Spring season they are growing, they are showing themselves! Spring says: "O soul! Think of your breath as a seed; sow good seeds, and in return, beautiful saplings will rise up and grow for you from this black earth!" Indeed, hidden things, hidden secrets were revealed as if the apocalypse had broken. O beauty of the beautiful, O our master, O our master, O our owner, O incomparable beloved! Why do you hide yourself anymore? You are already in the middle with your works that you have created and adorned the world with, and you are not clearly visible with the spring!" [26]
When spring comes, do you know what is that exuberance you see in the earth and in everything that rises up from the earth? It is because my love tavernkeeper has poured a sip of love wine on the earth's surface. If you see someone who is emotionless and dull, know that he has fallen in love with this world and the affairs of this world and has given himself to it. Don't look at his work; look at my work! All the secrets of the earth are revealed in the spring season! When my spring comes, my secrets arise from the heart and blossom. The rose gardens of the earth are covered with the thorns of the earth! However, when my rose garden opens, I have no thorns. Those who turn yellow and wither in autumn, those who are sick, spring gives them a drink of sherbet; but when my spring comes, my sickness appears. Do you know what the cold autumn wind is? It is the breath of your denial! What is the fragrant sweet wind that blows in the spring? It is my faith, the breath of my confession." [27] "O friend, there is another spring hidden in this world other than the flowery and fragrant spring you see. That spring is moon-faced, more beautiful and more pleasant than this spring you see. That spring is hidden in the hearts of pure, wise and perfect people."[28]
Now listen to what I am about to tell you with your ears and you will understand better what I mean; "A Sufi, in order to find spiritual joy and to open his heart, went to a garden full of roses, retreated to a corner, put his face on his knee, and entered into contemplation with his Sufi. During that contemplation, that Sufi was absorbed in his heart and deep in thought. An incomprehensible person was annoyed by his sleeping state and said, "What are you sleeping for?" Open your eyes and look at the roses and grape stalks, at the blossoming trees and green flowers. Hear the command of Allah. Allah Almighty has said in the Qur'an, "Look at the works of Allah's mercy. Raise your head from your knee and turn your face towards this sea of mercy. The Sufi said, "O one who is caught up in his own desires and whims. The most beautiful work of Allah is the heart. What is outside is only the works of works. Vineyards, gardens, flowers, roses, all the greenery are inside the soul. The beauties you see outside are like their reflections in the flowing water. Those trees seen in the water are an imaginary vineyard reflected in the water. They play with the beauty of the water. The real vineyards, gardens, flowers and fruits are in the heart. But their pleasant reflections, their images, have struck this clay, which is made of earth. If the vineyards and gardens you see in this world were not the opposite of the cypress of joy in the realm of the heart, Allah Almighty would not have called this world of illusion the land of delusion. Blessed is he who died before he died, and his soul smelled the truth of this vineyard and garden." [29]
The essence of the meaning is that the "rose garden is the heart of the ârif". The fountains of wisdom flow there. The praise and praise of Allah by the wise and perfect people is like the rose garden praising the spring season and expressing its gratitude to it! Hundreds of signs of this praise and this gratitude can be seen in the garden, hundreds of signs can be perceived. The springs are witnesses to the coming of spring; the saplings, the meadow grass are witnesses, and the rose garden is a witness to the colorful flowers that bloom." [30] Unfortunately, "At this time, the perfect and pure people who were like the spring have become invisible. The water of the river of meaning flowing in the world has been cut off. O spring! Send us water from beyond the heavens so that the mill of this world may turn." [31] "O human being, strive to be like the Spring, so that the beauties who go out to the vineyards and gardens may come to you and enjoy themselves in you! For these beauties flee from the coldness of winter. If you can't be spring, at least be summer; soak in the heat and stay in flames! For without that beauty, without that ardor, man looks very ugly, very worthless."[32] "If you do not feel like the spring season at all times, if you are not happy and joyful, what is the storehouse of your body that resembles a pile of roses? The pile of roses is your life. Thought is like rose water. Rose water denies the rose. Here is something very surprising for you!"[33]
Amazement is not of one kind; I am also amazed by the longing of the spring of life. "O breath of Spring, O wind that brings the fragrance of Spring, O Spring season! You give us news of the "Spring of Life" from beyond. I understand from the scents and colors of Your flowers, from their light, gentle swaying that You too are enraptured by the "Spring of Life"!" [34] "O Lord, this pleasant fragrance that comes to us today comes from the harem of the secrets of the Truth. Your kindness has dressed the vineyards and gardens in new clothes. Medicines are coming to the sick from the land of healing. All the trees in the garden are standing in prayer and the birds are saying the rosary. The violets are in rukû', doubled over, and all those who have come from nothingness to the realm of existence do not know why they exist, why they were created. It is as if they are so enraptured by their existence that they have forgotten where they came from." [35] Know this well: "These vineyards and gardens that you see now have grown and flourished not with water, but with the fire of love." [36]
"But where is the foot worthy of wandering in the vineyard of love, where is the foot worthy of stepping on the meadow and the grass? Where is the eye worthy of watching the cypress and the jasmine?" [37]
Our Prophet said: "O my companions, O my friends, do not cover your bodies in fear of the coolness of spring. For the spring wind does to your bodies and souls what it does to trees. But avoid the autumn cold, for the autumn cold does to you what it does to the vineyards. Those who narrated this hadith gave its meaning according to the appearance, and they found that sufficient. These people have no knowledge of the spirit of the hadith. They were outside the hadith, they could not enter into it. They have seen the mountain, but they have not seen the mine in the mountain. The autumn mentioned in the hadith is the ego, the desire of the ego. The mind and the soul are the spring, the eternity. Therefore, the meaning of the hadith can be interpreted as follows: The pure, clean breath of the guardians is like spring. It is the life of leaves and shoots. Therefore, do not avoid listening to the words of the guardians, whether they are soft or hard. Listen to them; those divine words will support your religion. Whether they are hot or cold, tolerate them, listen to their precious words and fulfill them. Fulfill them and you will be saved from the various effects of the events of this world, from the heat, from the cold, from the torment of hell that burns and scorches! Both the cold and the heat of those blessed words are spring. They are life. Those words are the essence, the leaven of reality, of full faith, of servitude. With those breaths, the gardens of life are revived and real life is attained. With those breaths, the depths of the heart are filled with pearls." [38]
O believers, rejoice and be glad! The Prophet whom you follow has freed you from slavery; rise up like the cypress, like the iris, and be free, and thank the water that has bestowed these favors on you, like a rose garden that is always green and beautiful and adorned with various flowers. The cypresses, the greenery, the flowers, the roses, they thank the water and the justice of the first spring without speechless lips! How exquisitely dressed they are in precious dresses, dragging their skirts, playing in a pleasant state of joyful ecstasy, and scattering fragrances of anber all around! Every part of them has been conceived by the sultan of spring; their bodies are overflowing with pearls of fruit. They are silent as if they were Marys who conceived Jesus without being married and without being touched. They don't speak words, but they speak very eloquent, very meaningful, elegant words with their state languages, with their heart languages. In the spring season, the countless leaves of every tree, every flower, every green, even the birds and insects singing cheerfully in the trees, all of them speak with their tongues; they all get the power of speech from the sun, from the light of the Truth." [39]
You see, "These trees are like people under the earth. They make hundreds of signs to the people by sticking their hands out of the soil, they say many words to those who have ears to hear and understand, they give many advice. With their green tongues and long hands, they open secrets from the heart of the earth. When the winter comes, the trees pull their heads into the water like geese. When spring comes, they are adorned with flowers, leaves and fruits, they become beautiful, they become peacocks. Allah had imprisoned them in winter; they were bored in prison and turned into crows. Allah took pity on them and turned them into peacocks when spring came. Winter killed them, but when spring came, He resurrected them. He decorated them with leaves and flowers.
Those who disbelieve in Allah say that this is a natural phenomenon that has been happening since time immemorial, that the trees lose their leaves and then they leaf out again, so why should we say that Allah, the Almighty, created this? Despite their blindness, Allah Almighty plants spiritual vineyards and gardens in the hearts of His friends. Every rose that scatters spiritual fragrances in the hearts gives news of the secrets of the Whole, even though they cannot see it, much less hear it." [40]
"Do not think it enough to look once at the sky, which is like a ceiling of light, look again and again! Can you see a crack, a defect there? Since Allah has commanded you: "Look again and again", look again and again at this sky, this ceiling of light decorated with stars, like a person who wants to find flaws and is looking for imperfections. How many times do you have to look at this earth, this black earth, in order to see it, to understand its beauty, its features and to appreciate it? How much effort, how much work, how hard you have to exert yourself in order to distinguish the pure from the impure, the good from the bad, the clean from the dirty?
Think of what has happened to this black earth, this earth's surface. The various trials of winter and autumn, the scorching heat of summer, and then the spring, which, in the mercy of Allah, resurrects the black earth as if it had been given life. The winds, the clouds, the rains, the lightning, all these transitory things are meant to awaken the earth, to awaken the seeds in it, to make them rise up and come into being.
It is for the gray-colored earth to reveal whatever is in its pockets, such as la'l, such as stones, such as precious and worthless. Whatever the black earth with its gloomy and sad face has stolen from Allah's treasury, from Allah's treasure, whatever it has hidden in its bosom, the police of the providence will say to it, "Tell the truth, what have you stolen, what have you taken, explain them one by one." The thief, the earth, will say, "I have taken nothing. The thief, the earth, says, "I did not take anything, I did not steal anything." The policeman does not believe him, he grabs him tightly and pulls him. Sometimes the police say sweet words to him like candy, sometimes they hang him and torture him in the worst ways. Thus, with the effect of the fire of fear and hope, between the force and grace, the things stolen from the treasure of the grace of Hakk's hidden in the bosom of the earth are revealed in the form of various plants, fruits, and various minerals.
Those spring seasons are the grace, the bestowal of the Hakk police. In the fall, it is again Hakk's frightening, frightening and battering of the soil. Winter is the spiritual crucifixion of the soil. It is as if it is being told, "Come out of the square, O hidden thief." What is happening in this black soil is happening in our bodies, which are created from soil. A person who is on the path of the Truth and fighting with his ego will at times have a spacious heart, at other times a narrow heart, he will be troubled, and he will be plagued by doubts.
Because our bodies, created from water and clay, deny the lights of life and are the thieves of those lights. That is why Hakk ta'âlâ has burdened our bodies with heat, cold, pain, aches, pains, illnesses and troubles. Fear, hunger, lack of wealth, disability, all these are for the emergence of the "soul", which is the precious currency. These fears, these promises, are all for distinguishing between the good and the bad that are mixed together." [41] Have you sat down and thought about your own physical existence? "Does a stone ever blossom in the first spring? Be the earth, so that colorful roses may grow from you. For years you have been the stone that hurts hearts and breaks hearts; please be the earth for a time, if only to test it."[42]
When the earth finds a lover like spring, it obtains hundreds of thousands of lights from him and blossoms. When that tree meets its beloved spring, it is covered with flowers from head to toe because of its pleasant weather and love. When that soil, which is adorned with flowers in the spring season, sees an unfavorable mate who is cold like the fall season, it hides its face and head under the quilt. Then the tree tells you that to meet a bad-tempered lover is to be in trouble. When such a cold person comes near me, I fall asleep in order not to feel his presence, and it is better for me to sleep and be one of the Ashab-ı Kehf than to be imprisoned in a cave and serve Dikyânus. To sleep with knowledge and wisdom, that is, when the sleeper is in the company of a knowledgeable and wise person, is spiritual wakefulness. But woe to the awake person who sits and talks with the insensitive and ignorant, that person should be pitied.[43]
"There are four seasons in this world. Each season is opposite to the other! You are the life and power to fight the four enemies separately. You, our spring, come so that all the seasons that are opposed to each other burn and disappear. May your beauty rule the spring. May only the first spring remain in the world."[44]
"I am so amazed, so astonished at this spring, this apocalypse, when all the dead are resurrected, that I cannot speak any more; I will finish! There is no way for me to express the thoughts and feelings in my heart!... Shut up! Shut up and listen to the news from the birds in the garden, from beyond, from the realm of the unseen!" [45]
"It is He who sends down water from the sky. Then We bring forth from it every kind of plant, and from it We bring forth shoots and from those shoots We bring forth ears of grain that grow and overlap each other. And from the buds of the date-palms We bring forth clusters of grapes and groves of olives and pomegranates.
Look at the fruit of each of them when it first bears fruit and when it is fully ripe! Surely in all this there are many lessons for those who believe." [46]
